Balancing

One of the questions i get asked OFTEN is how do I do it all? 5 kids, running a house, a business, all the extra curricular activities, church callings, building relationships with friends and community… I jokingly respond that I should be called The Midnight Quilter, because most of my quilting happens late at night.

I frequently do a mental inventory of where I stand on my priorities. If I want balance, I must live in check with who I am.  What do you value? What do you want to be remembered for? What is important to you? When I don’t have creativity as part of my daily life I suffer, if all I do is one thing, I am off balance.

I like this quote:

As you take the normal opportunities of your daily life and create something of beauty and helpfulness, you improve no only the world around you but also the world within you.

Dieter F. Uchtdorf

I love that I can create beauty for others, but in doing so, I create beauty within.

He further explains the definition of creativity: The bounds of creativity extend far beyond the limits of a canvas or a sheet of paper.  Creation means bringing into existence something that did not exist before- colourful gardens, family memories, flowing laughter.

What are you going to do creative today?

I would love to hear.
