Starting a new project is like writing on the first page of a new sketch book, or wearing a new outfit for the first time. There is a certain level of excitement and anticipation to get it all going. I want to share that excitement with you. When I got to hang out at Riley Blake headquarters this summer (AmAzInG) I spotted these lovelies and knew they needed to come home with me.
This fabric is out of my normal choices and I wanted to challenge myself.
It is also out of my comfort zone when it comes to so many prints. I tend to pair solids in my designs.
I decided to cut them up into 8 inch squares. With these fabrics I am going to challenge myself to make an entire quilt with using these squares.
After all, one of the purposes of a blog is to document the thinking process, the creative process of how one creates. So I hope you would like to join me by sharing your process as well. I am going to use the hashtag #8inchsquarechallenge
Look forward to the fun!!
