I measured the width and length of the pillow. I cut the fabric the same length and then added 12-15 inches for the width. It needs to be double the width plus the extra for the over lap, the envelope.

Making an envelope style pillow is very simple and flexible. When making a pillow with fabric that is so slippery on the inside, make sure you have a healthy over lap and that the pillow is not too loose or your pillow won't stay closed very well.

FYI my nails are speckled because I decided to use industrial grade enamel paint on my tub surround. Shall be interesting to see how long it will take to come off…
