I got all 180 half square triangles trimmed up, thanks pod casts to keep me company. Today is sunny and bright so i decided to move the kitchen table over since it was in sun and play with lay outs. The light kept changing for the taking of the pics!

Thanks to Cheryl Arkinson’s class I toke black and white pics of the fabric so that I could divide it up in colour value. 

Here are a few different attempts.

To add interest for my free motion quilting, since I pretty much always think about the quilting part whenever I design a quilt, I added the three triangles in the mix.

I decided that on the light medium and dark scales, these blocks were not enough of a contrast to go along with the others. These are all the same fabrics but organized differently. Looking forward to seeing how they will go together. There are so many different ways to organize half square. one search on pinterest could last quite a while. First I will tackle the above before playing with the lights. Stay tuned. How are you half square triangles coming along?
