Halloween Approaching

I do love a nice festive touch to the home and quilts are a great way to achieve this. Here are two quilts that I have made for Halloween. Unfortunately, they aren’t mine. Jackie owner of www.nutsforboltsetc.com  commissioned me to make them. I am able to admire them when I go to work.

Mr Chillingworth has been a hit at the store. I taught how to construct this quilt last year and have quilted this quilt about 7 times. I never tire of quilting all the spider webs. I even include some dangling spiders, can you see them?

The morning I was writing this blog post initially, things toke longer than expected so I had to put the writing aside and leave for work. The weather outside was ominous. As I drove through the country side to the red barn (where I work), I had this crazy idea of putting Mr Chillingsworth out in the field amongst all the hay bales. Here are some of the results.

It was a lot of fun walking through the fields with an antique door and quilt followed behind by the two farm dogs making sure everything was fine. I love my new phone, these pictures are fun. I even made a scary video over on Facebook. Quilting makes me happy and sharing these pictures helps spread the quilt joy that I feel.

This is another quilt that I love using Spooktacular Too by Maude Asbury. I have a lot of this fabric waiting for me to cut and create. The orange and gold stars are fantastic. I want a bolt of each in my shelf ‘just in case’.

The count down is on for Halloween.
