Meet Shannon

Shannon and I go back to our Quilt market days back in 2015. She has done a variety of amazing things, one of which is her brilliant Plan to Quilt planner. In January 2020 Shannon and I started the conversation of how the quilt industry is such a powerful influence in our lives and created a conversations around it which led us to creating Mend on Facebook where we continued the conversation. Shannon shares her experience as a person who ‘bottoms out’ a lot in her endeavors because of her struggles with anxiety and depression. Thus comes from her self doubt and negative self talk. When everything shut down Shannon was able to take the time to get very quiet in herself and saw how she could really serve and help others. She was worried that if she pivoted too much, she would just circle back to where she was in the first place! As she got quiet and started to really listen to herself she was able to expand her reach of her book and even create an amazing creative program called Full Bloom for Creatives. I love Shannon and am so grateful for our friendship. You can’t help but be inspired by her honesty and dedication to herself and craft. The best way to connect with Shannon is on her instagram @evambakery.
