Stitched Quilting Collections

I am always honoured when someone trusts me with their quilt top. I have a lot of amazing clients. It is one of the greatest compliments when the clients refer their friends to me.

This quilt is from one such client. She is fairly new to quilting and her paper piecing skills are fantastic. With the beautiful autumn scenery I wanted to take advantage of this gorgeous quilt. I live in a great city where many birds stop on their migration south. Although we didn’t see any birds, we got some great pics of the quilt and my four year loved that the quilt was just his size!!

I love to celebrate success and celebrate the process. As a ‘Creative’ putting yourself out there is hard. Self doubt and fear of criticism are real. The aninomoty of the internet can be cruel. I want my voice and contribution to be positive and building. That’s what healthy communities do, they contribute and build each other up.

So on my blog I will build and inspire and contribute and spread quilting joy. One way to do that is share a few more pics of my lovely clients gorgeous autumn inspired batik quilt.

Since I am a free motion quilting enthusiast, the quilting I did was the oak leaf border that I teach in my Intermediate FMQ class. I did feather edges, stitch in the ditch around the squares and curly cues in the ‘windmill’ sections.
