Today’s challenge for day 5 is learning how to accept what is.
Similar to yesterday’s challenge with understanding that nothing has gone wrong when ‘things’ don’t go the way you hoped, today we are going to explore the concept of acceptance.
What does it mean to accept your life?
This is not to be confused with me saying to settle with what is happening in your life.
Let’s delve into what acceptance means. Acceptance is the awareness of what is happening in your life. Taking an inventory of where you are at in the various areas of your life.
Let’s do a little quiz- rank yourself from 1-10 1 being very low and 10 extremely high

Waking up everyday is an exciting adventure. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10
What are your thoughts after going through all of these? This is a snapshot of where you are at right at this moment. Take a moment and take it all in. When we can just be with what is, that is what brings peace.
Bryon Katie talks about ‘the thought that kicks you out of heaven’. It being comfortable with what you have. Be in the moment. She gave the example of when you have a thought like, “i’d be a little more comfortable if I had a pillow”. When you believe the thought that something is missing, what do you experience? The immediate effect may be subtle- only a slight restlessness as your attention, you give up the peace you have.
Writing Assignment for today’s challenge of allowing yourself to feel acceptance:
- When is the last time you felt peace? Go to that time. What was happening? Where were you sitting? How did you feel? Can you remember how you felt? Capture all of these feelings and situations in your notebook.

3. Do you find more on ‘team acceptance’ or ‘team resist’? Why
4. Why do you think acceptance is a key factor to becoming more liberated in your life? I want to hear your reasons for why or why not.
