Doodle Challenge Day 30
Today’s challenge is Borders.
Again, I want to remind you to think about all of the different connotations to the word ‘borders’.
Traditional- borders are varying degrees of thicknesses on quilts. What fillers do you often see in borders? What density of quilting within these? Do you see feathers? Do you see stipple? Do you see ribbon candy? I want you to close your eyes and imagine all the different ways you have seen borders being quilted and reproduce those in your doodles.
Outside the box- a border is a geographical line dividing one country from another. How could you show this in your doodles? Think about a land of hills contrasted with a land of rocks to a land of water? How would this look? How would you depict this?
It has been really wonderful to see all of you participate and take part in this challenge. With only one day left to the challenge I would love to hear your feedback on what the cumulative effect of this practice has had for you.
I really want to see what you come up with.
Can’t wait for you to share.
Don’t forget to tag me in your pics and use the hashtag #daradoodlechallenge.
I also have videos on Youtube giving you ideas for the doodles.
Stay tuned for Day 31 tomorrow.
